Recipe
From Tanja Paasikas Stanaway, "I remember a special recipe from my childhood and here it is."
Ingredients
- 5 hot dogs (cut up into cubes)
- 5 potatoes (peeled and diced)
- 3 carrots (peeled and diced)
- 1 onion (cut into very small pieces)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dash of allspice
Directions
- Fry hot dog pieces in a butter until brown.
- Boil pealed potatoes until soft in a quart of water.
- Add the hot dogs, onion, salt and pepper, and allspice.
- Let it simmer for about 15 minutes on low heat.
This is a very economical dinner and kids love it no matter how often you make it. At least there is never a sentence "I don't like it."
